GENERAL TERMS AND CONDITIONS

 Tour Price Includes: The cost of international airfare between the United States and China; transportation inside China; hotel accommodations per double occupancy or as otherwise specified; 3 meals per day as specified, including breakfast, lunch, dinner; admission to sightseeing spots; English speaking tour escort and local guide service throughout the tour. Tour fares are subject to change without notice.

 

Tour Price Does Not Include: tips in China; US customs User Fee, US Immigration Fee, Animal and plant Health Inspection Fee, US domestic Passenger Facility Charges, transportation of heavy baggage in excess of applicable allowance, cost of passport and visas; activities or programs outside of the specified itinerary nor any expenses of a personal nature: telephone calls, laundry, extra meals and beverages (alcoholic or mineral water), room service, postage, trip cancellation, flight nor baggage insurance, air fare for flights to the West Coast departure city; and other extra expenses not specified.

 

Travel Documents: Your passport must be valid for at least 6 months after the date of departure. One photocopy of the front page of your passport is required for a group visa and must be mailed with your deposit. Two passport-size photos, your original passport and a completed visa application form are required for an individual visa. Retain a copy of photo page of your passport for your files. The Visa form must be completed and signed; please insure that the signatures on your passport and on the visa form are identical. In the event that the reservation is made less than 14 days prior to departure, Omega Group Travel (OGT) will attempt to rush process an individual visa for an additional cost of $40.00. OGT will secure the visa for entry into the People’s Republic of China; this visa fee is not included in the tour cost shown. OGT will forward all applications to the Chinese consulate for their approval. OGT cannot guarantee the acceptance of your visa application. If for any reason your application is denied, payments made for the visa are non-refundable. OGT shall assume no responsibility however should a traveler with valid traveling documents and valid visa be refused entrance by customs or immigration officials. No refunds or transfers can be made. Vaccinations are not required but, as health requirements change without notice, please check with your travel agent or Public Health Service for current required or recommended inoculations. Non-US citizens should check visa and health requirements with appropriate consulates or their travel agents.

 

Baggage: All baggage is at the owner’s risk throughout the tour. Baggage allowance may differ throughout international and domestic travel.  International baggage allowance is two pieces of checked baggage totaling 107 inches (dimensions = length + width + height) per person.  Baggage weight should not exceed 70 lbs. per piece per person. Any claims on damaged or lost baggage should be filed with the transportation company on the spot.

 

Reservations, Deposits and Final Payments: Reservations are accepted once a completed reservation form and deposit of $200.00 per person is submitted to OGT. All deposits MUST be received immediately after the reservation is made. Failing to receive your deposit, we will release your hotel and air flight space due to the critical demand for hotel rooms and airline seats. The balance of tour payment is due 45 days prior to departure. If the final payment is not received by the due date, your reservation is subject to cancellation. Failure to comply with these deposit and final payment requirements will result in automatic cancellation of your reservations, and penalty or cancellation will apply. In the event the reservation is made less than 45 days before the trip, full payment must be made. We accept checks and money orders; credit cards can be handled through the San Francisco location with an additional handling charge.

 

Cancellation: All cancellations must be completed in writing. Upon receipt of your written notice, a cancellation penalty applies as follows:

Full Refund, less $100 administrative fee per person for any cancellations received in writing up to 60 days prior to departure.

59 to 45 days before departure        -             25% of tour price per person

44 to 30 days before departure        -             35% of tour price per person

29 to 8 days before departure          -             50% of tour price per person

7 to 1 day(s) before departure   -                   75% of tour price per person

On or after departure date               -             100% of tour price per person

*Airfare is non-refundable once ticket is issued or subject to airlines’ rules

 (Plus any charges addressed by land suppliers, cruse companies, airlines and hotels)

Those that cancel their participation from the tour are responsible for the single supplement being charged to a roommate as a result of cancellation. No exemptions are allowed even if covered by a Trip Cancellation Plan.

 

Itinerary: OGT endeavors to follow itineraries precisely. However, if it becomes necessary for the means of transportation of any other service to be changed, or for the tour to be prolonged through circumstances beyond the travel’s agency’s control, any additional tour cost must be borne by the passenger and is payable immediately.  If the traveler wishes to modify or make deviations from the specified itinerary, charges will be incurred and are payable immediately.

 

Responsibility: OGT acts as tour operator and agent. The suppliers providing transportation, conveyance or accommodation are independent contractors and are not agents or employees of OGT. All tickets, coupons and receipt issued by OGT and all arrangements for transport or conveyance or for hotel accommodation are made by OGT as agent of the suppliers. By utilizing the services of the suppliers, you agree that neither OGT nor any subsidiary of affiliate of OGT shall be liable for any injury, damage, loss accident or delay incurred by you or those traveling with you in connection with any accommodations, transportation or other services resulting directly from any acts or default of the suppliers or from any occurrence or conditions beyond the control of OGT including defects in vehicles or breakdown in equipment, cancellations or changes in flight, itineraries, schedules, steamers or other services, strikes, theft, sickness, weather, quarantine or other causes. OGT is not liable for injuries involving and not limited to medical checkups, use of prescriptive medicines, massages, Tai Chi or Chinese Art. Nor shall OGT be liable for any injury, damage, loss accident, or delay resulting directly or indirectly from delays; all tour itineraries and fares may be affected by alterations or delays in air or surface transportation services of the various countries. OGT reserves the right to withdraw any tour in this program and to make such alterations in the itineraries as many is found desirable for the convenience of the parties or the proper operation of the tour. OGT reserves the right to decline to accept or to retain any person as a member of the tour party at any time. All tour fares shown, except in China, are based on the present value of foreign currencies in relation to the US dollar and on current tariffs and are subject to change. Tour fares are subject to adjustment. The right is reserved to cancel the tour prior to departure for any reason. In such case, a full refund of all payments will constitute the full settlement with the passenger. The Chinese handling travel agency reserves the right to make alterations or adjustments in the itinerary as to destinations, transportation, accommodations and all other services. Neither OGT nor any subsidiary affiliate of OGT shall be responsible for any such alterations made by OGT or the Chinese handling travel agency. The airlines concerned are not held responsible for any act, or event during the time the passengers are not on board their planes or conveyances. The passenger’s contract in use by the airline these tours and or passenger. Any and or all transportation companies herein mentioned shall have or incur no responsibility of liability to any traveler aside from their liability as common carriers. The carrier’s international tariff is available for inspection by the passenger and will govern all aspects of the air transportation.  The General Conditions under which you agree to utilize the services of OGT in arranging the tours in this brochure may not be amended in any way expect in writing signed by an authorized officer of OGT. Upon payment of a deposit, tour participants indicate acceptance of the above terms and conditions.

 

Refund on unused or changed tour arrangements: Portions of land arrangements, of hotel accommodations, or of any other service or feature of the tour, which are not used, are neither refundable nor exchangeable.

 

Tour fares: Tours are offered as total land and air packages and use of an airline other than OGT specified airline is not acceptable.

 

Air transportation: All international air transportation is via the OGT specified airline and is based on special fares for round-trip’ open-jaw individual and group travel.  All airfares and rules are subject to change without notice. Tour fare does not include any increase in airfare due to increase in fuel cost and/or for any reason.

 

Omega Global Travel: OGT endeavors to follow the itineraries precisely; however, if flights are not available at the scheduled time, we reserve the right to modify air and land arrangements for smooth operation of the tour. If the number of tour should fall below 10 participants for any tour, we reserve the right to cancel the tour.

 

Domestic transportation in China: Portions of the itinerary in China scheduled for domestic air, railroads or boat are arranged by the Chinese handling travel agency respectively and do not come under the control of OGT. Domestic airfares are subject to change.

 

Tips and taxes: Hotel taxes are included in the land cost. Tips to restaurant and hotel waiter, chambermaids and porters are not included. The customary end-of-tour tips to national or local guides and drivers are not included.

 

Accommodations: In China, the Chinese land operator allocates accommodations (based on double occupancy). Double occupancy may range from a twin-bedded room to a room with two queen-sized beds.  Cruise accommodations are based on double occupancy of twin-bedded stateroom with private bath. All ships are of People’s Republic of China registry.

 

Tours: Due to occasional flight delays, some sightseeing tours might not be able to be scheduled. Also, cultural and acrobatic shows might not be available during the holidays and seasonal recess.

 

Tour Guides: A bilingual Tour manager throughout China will escort a group size of 10 or more. For less than 10 participants, the tour will be locally hosted unless otherwise requested; a national guide for this quantity of participants may incur higher tour rates.

 

Health: In order to ensure smooth operation of tours within China, the Chinese handling travel agency requires exclusion of any person whose health condition makes them unsuitable for long trips due to mental illness, serious chronic or contagious illness, advanced pregnancy, senility or infirmity.

 

Airport Taxes: Airport embarkation taxes are not included in the tour fare.

 

Insurance: We strongly recommend that you purchase travel insurance.  This is optional and must be accomplished by you. Information on travel insurance is provided as a convenience and a source of information.  Many of these plans have trip cancellation /interruption coverage.
