Day 1: DEPART FROM SAN FRANCISCO OR LOS ANGELES TO BEIJING

Day 2: ARRIVE BEIJING (D)
Arrive in Beijing in the evening. you will be met by guide at the airport and transfer to Hotel.

Day 3: BEIJING (B,L,D)
Visit Tian'anmen Square, the biggest in the world where you can see the Great Hall of the People, Monument to the People's Heroes and Chairman Mao's Memorial Hall. After lunch, visit Summer Palace and Dowager Cixi's summer resort. This is a famous resort area for the Imperial family that was built with the fund for the building of Chinese navy of the last dynasty. The marble Boat, Kunming Lake and long art corridor in the grand royal garden will tell you all the different stories of Chinese Qing dynasty.

Day 4: BEIJING (B,L,D)
Take a day excursion to the Great Wall, one of the Seven Wonders of the World. After lunch go on to visit the Ming Tombs, the underground palace of 13 of the 16 Ming Emperors. In route back to the hotel, visit Beijing Cloisonn?Art Factory.

Day 5: BEIJING (B,L,D)
Highlights today include the Forbidden City, the largest royal palace in the world. In the afternoon, visit the Temple of Heaven. The focus of this complex is the famed hall of prayer for good harvest and a round edifice constructed of wood only and without a single nail.

Day 6: BEIJING/JINAN (B,L,D)
Start your day with some leisure time, a good time for shopping. Depart for Jinan on a p.m. train. Arrive in Jinan and transfer to your hotel.

Day 7: JINAN/TAI'AN (B,L,D)
After breakfast, coach to Tai'an at the foot of Mt. Tai; one of the five sacred mountains in China, where 72 Chinese Emperors came to pray for good harvest and stable society. Coach to midway of the mountains and catch the cable car. On the way to the top you will witness pilgrims climbing the 7000 steps to the temples on the mountaintop. Then, visit the biggest Taoist temples in China and stay the night at a hotel located on the mountain.

Day 8: TAI'AN/QUFU (B,L,D)
Your guide will take you to the most famous Confucian Temple, Mansion, and Family Cemetery, where you'll learn about the philosopher Confucius and how his thoughts pervaded China for 2000 years and set the pattern for Chinese behavior, even today. Take an overnight train to Suzhou.

Day 9: SUZHOU (B,L,D)
After transferring to the hotel, a full day tour in Suzhou will lead you to the Suzhou Number One Silk Factory, the Wangshi Garden, and the Zhuozheng Garden.

Day 10: SUZHOU/SHANGHAI (B,L,D)
Enjoy the Grand Canal cruising in the morning and take a train to Shanghai in the afternoon.

Day 11: SHANGHAI (B,L,D)
The tour today includes the famous Shanghai Bund-the waterfront region, the magnificent Jade Buddha Temple with the rare statue carved out of one single block of Burmese jade and Yuyuan Garden with its zigzag bridges, knolls and famous rockeries. Acrobats Show in the evening by world famous Shanghai Acrobats Troupe.

Day 12: SHANGHAI TO LOS ANGELES OR SAN FRANCISCO (B)
After a leisurely breakfast, transfer to the airport. Fly home with your bags full of gifts and memories of a cherished China experience.
